I'm designing my game for baseball fans of all ages. My ideal player might be a 9 year old kid, who loves following baseball, and is starting to learn about the countries of the world. But it will work for all ages, as recent studies show that most adults can only find a handful of countries on the globe. My game will teach the players to pinpoint different countries on a world map, and learn about the ballplayers from those countries.
The game will happen on the map of a world, with an activity sidebar to show score, roster, and the position players from which to choose. The players will learn visually by choosing countries from an unmarked map of the world.
Players will have to select the proper country on the map, which coincides with the players nationality, to score points.
They will receive useful factual tips about the country to help them to identify the country. They will also learn about the baseball player from this country.
They will use the tips to pinpoint the name of the country, and then have to find it on the world map.
This game is better because it provides a visual learning opportunity for the player.
